Our Yellow Squash Means Endless Summer
With growing locations in many states, summer squash is available in all seasons. J&J Family of Farms produces both yellow straightneck squash and crookneck squash, both of which are high in potassium, fiber and vitamins A, B and C. Perfect as a steamed or sautéed side dish, sliced and served raw with vegetable dip, baked in a casserole or perking up a stew, yellow squash adds flavor and variety to your family’s table.
Storage Tips: If you are storing yellow squash in the refrigerator, do not wash the squash before storing. They are best stored in a plastic bag that has had a few holes poked in it for airflow, that is then placed in the vegetable crisper drawer. Yellow squash stored this way will last approximately 1 week.
